GDP #141 - Color Challenge: Watercolor Card
Hello again! I'm back after a couple days break. I saw my new pain management doctor and it's not good... but I can't talk about it because I will burst into tears and that aggravates my pain beyond belief. On to better things...for you today I have a card I did for the Global Design Project using this weeks challenge which was a color one.
These 3 colors can now be found in the Regals Collection and look absolutely great together. I decided to do a watercolor wash using all 3 colors from lightest to darkest. I also decided to do some embossing on a piece of vellum. When I stamped the colors I first stamped off once then stamped on the back side of the vellum. This gives it a great transparent look.
I then cut a piece of the Delightfully Detailed DSP (Designer Series Paper) to use as a layer. I also layered some of the Copper Thread and the Rich Razzleberry twine. And then as a little embellishment I spread some copper sequins around the card.
Finally I stamped the inside of my card to carry the 3 colors inside. I didn't put a sentiment on the outside because I thought it would clutter it up too much. I simply stamped one on the inside.
Here are all the items used to make this card. Click on the item to go to my store.
Hugs,
Julie
