Beautiful You and New In-Color Card
Welcome back! Today for you I am spotlighting one of the new In-Colors...Grapefruit Grove. When the Beautiful You stamp set came out last year I instantly fell in love with it. The sentiments can be used for so many things. Here I used it for a celebration.
When I was a teenager my fave color at the time was peach. If I saw a peach piece of clothing in the store I HAD TO HAVE IT! It is still one of my all time faves, but pink is definitely #1. Funny how through life our color preferences change. I think that is why I am so drawn to this color, because it is a beautiful shade of peach, but trust me when I say Lovely Lipstick is at the top of my list right now!
I also love these new Pearlized Doilies. They give a great little shine and interest to your card. I put the two square layers off centered a bit to also give more interest too. This in fact is very hard for my to do because I am very OCD about things being perfectly aligned. Lol.
I love to heat emboss things, especially sentiments. It offers a little bit of texture, and I love texture or the look of texture on all the crafty things I do from card making to Project Life to scrapbooking. I carried the look of the pearls from up above down to here too. The Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is new as well and comes in both Whisper White and Very Vanilla and could easily be tinted to any of the Stampin' Up! colors.
And of course I stamped the inside too. I used the small flowers from the new stamp set Love What You Do which look so perfect over the smudge stamp from Beautiful You. I hope you like it.
