Global Designer Project - Color Challenge

Hi and welcome back to my blog! I am back today with another challenge from the Global Design Project. I love this site! It is so inspiring. You see so many projects from people all over the world. So many ideas! This week the challenge is a color one using the following Stampin' Up! inks.
I started to look through my DSP (Designer Series Paper) and noticed that the paper stack Cupcakes & Carousels from the 2017 Occasions catalog included all these colors. How perfect! So from there I chose my stamps, ink pads, and embellishments.
I also realized that there was Glimmer Paper in Bermuda Bay! This is from Sale-a-Bration and please know that this ends on March 31st so please don't wait to place your order because Stampin' Up! let us know yesterday that once it is gone, it's gone, no back ordering. In fact the Card Tin #143833 is no longer available.
On to the card, first I cut my Early Espresso cardstock to A2 size and folded it in half. Next, I went through the Cupcakes & Carousels paper stack and chose the paper that I wanted to use.
This took me a little bit as I love every paper in the stack! I finally got it down to one and cut it to 4"x 5-1/4". I glued this piece down onto my piece of Early Espresso.
Next, I wanted to use one of the Lace Doilies because it looked so good on this paper. I kind of offset it a bit and glued it down with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then trimmed the side off. Next, came time to die cut my two dragonflies. I wanted to use the Sale-a-Bration item Glimmer Paper in Bermuda Bay to really make them
pop. I die cut one of the larger dragonfly and one of the smaller dragonfly. They are definitely very beautiful and very intricate. I placed them on the card front using some Stampin' Dimensionals that I cut down to fit.
Then it was time for the sentiment. I wanted to make this a thanks card so I chose one of the sentiments from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. I stamped it in Early Espresso onto a piece of Very
Vanilla cardstock. I then die cut the piece with the die piece from the Rose Garden Thinlits. I placed it onto the card front using Dimensionals as well.
I didn't want to leave the inside naked as for one it is hard to write on dark cardstock unless you are using a white gel pen. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock again to 4"x 5-1/4". I took a piece of the Peekaboo Peach washi tape from Playful Palette set and placed it down the right side of the insert. I tucked the ends around the back. Then, I wanted a little something more so I decided to
stamp one of the dragonflies on this insert too. Using Bermuda Bay ink, I stamped the dragonfly with half of it off the card. I then let it dry for a few seconds, placed some Snail on the back and put it on the inside of my card. Here are the supplies I used, just click on any item and it will take you to my online store where you can purchase all that I used in this card.
