Dashing Deer Bundle and Dashing Along DSP Card

Image
Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Have a good weekend? My husband and I went to a Holiday party in Cave Creek, AZ for where he works and had a wonderful time. It was a nice little, quick getaway. Today for you I have a card I made with the Dashing Deer Bundle.      A couple of weeks ago Stampin' Up! let all the demonstrators know that the Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Designer Series Paper) was no longer available for sell, but as a result they were bringing back the Dashing Along DSP that was part of a promotion back in Sept. to make up for the other DSP. I loved this DSP because it is very simple looking and makes such beautiful backgrounds.      I used the Thinlits to make the border underneath the Garden Green cardstock. I cut a couple to make it fit better, but I love the look of the sparkle of gold around the edge. I placed it on top of a piece of vellum then onto a piece of the DSP. I used the Early Espresso marker to col...

Facebook Live & Thanksgiving Treat Bags

Image
Hello crafters! How was your week? Are you ready for the weekend? As I said in my live I am going to spend part of it cleaning my craft room. I got so frustrated the other night because I couldn't find something (which I still haven't found by the way) that I needed and decided that I needed to spend at least one day getting some things cleaned and rearranged. On my Facebook live I showed you how to make a really cute treat to give to family and friends at Thanksgiving or any holiday. Here is what I made......      I showed on the video that this stamp set is so perfect for any beginner stamper or crafter. It is so easy to use and doesn't require anything special. If you want to purchase the punch to go with it you could. I also said that I would share the sizes of the pieces I used in the video: Whisper White: 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" Rich Razzleberry: 2-5/8" x 5-1/4" scored at 2-5/8" Nugget Wrappers: 1"x 3"      Another thing I t...

First Frost Card - Kylie's Training Group Blog Hop

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! Today I am taking part in an international blog hop with several other Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world. Fellow demonstrator Kylie Bertucci and her amazing husband Bruno offer this training group to help us demonstrators become the best they can and achieve their goals. I am learning so much! For this hop I wanted to use the new to me stamp set First Frost and matching dies. Here is my card...      I wanted to keep the colors mostly light with a few touches of Blackberry Bliss for contrast. I also wanted to make sure the card had some sparkle too. I heat embossed the background with the background stamp Sheet Music and Whisper White powder.      I also used a piece of the beautiful, shimmery Frosted Floral Specialty DSP (Designer Series Paper). Boy does this paper shine!!! All the prints are just amazing and will definitely be using some more. I also added some Silver Metallic...

Happiness Surrounds Marbleizing Ink Technique Card

Image
Hello everyone! Have a good weekend? Here in the USA it is holiday, Veteran's Day, so that means a 3 day weekend for a lot of people. The other day my team leader challenged me to try this really cool technique and after I did it I wanted to share with all of you what I had made, because I think it came out so beautiful and it is always fun to make your own background. Here is my card.....      My team leader did this technique with Stampin' Up!'s Glossy paper, but I wanted to see if I could use the Whisper White cardstock and it worked!. You just use a cotton ball, rubbing alcohol, a re-inker in your choice of color and one of the Shimmer paints.      You start by putting some rubbing alcohol on your cotton ball, then drop 3-4 drops of the re-inker on top. Then placed 2 drops of the Gold Shimmer paint on as well. Now take your cotton ball and dab onto your Whisper White cardstock until you achieve your desired look.   ...

Non Water Watercoloring Card Using Spirited Snowmen & Facebook Live

Hello crafters! It is Fri-YAY!!! Yesterday I had a really fun Facebook live over on my Facebook page . I talked and showed how you can make a really cool watercolored background without using any water. As everyone knows water and paper don't mix which is why in the creative world there is something called Gesso. It is used to seal paper so that water doesn't get absorbed into it and ruin it, but Stampin' Up! doesn't sell this so I was trying to find an alternative and I did!!! Here is the card I showed...      This technique was created out of need...I needed a way to do a watercoloring on a piece of 12x12 Whisper White cardstock for a scrapbook page for a design team project next week. I thought if I can't use gesso then what do I use to to keep the paper from being destroyed by the water and I thought, "What about rubbing alcohol?"      In the crafting, mostly scrapbooking, world there is a technique called the Packaging techn...
